South is in 3NT, the lead is the singleton Diamond.

It was a Par competition, contract & lead were predefined. It was designed to go -1...

Somebody found a line that makes against perfect defence, :D.

Where there is eight tricks, there is often 9. This is a vulnerable stopper squeeze without count, but the club suit is unfortunately blocked (put the club 7 or 8 in dummy and club 3 in south it is easier). But you can let WEST hoist EAST up onto the gallows. Winning line....

T1. Win with king,
T2. J hook,
T3. Q-K-A,

You know have eight tricks (2+2+1+3). First thing to do (double dummy of course) is to let west win two spades (if he likes)...

T4. J
T5. to west, we assume west takes his good spade... (it doesn't matter, if he returs a heart, we win in dummy and continue spade tor reach same point on trick 8.
T6. T,
T7. to K
T8. Duck to WEST who must lead a heart in this postion...

What is EAST to do? IF he throws a club, dummy wins two club tricks. If he throws a , a cute ending occurs. He is thrown in with the A and has a choice. He can lead the 10 allowing dummy to win the last two tricks, or he can lead the 5 allowing you to enter South with the 7 to cash the good 8. Turns out you don't need the high spot in dummy after all!

Squeeze or Posted Image's to be 3-3 with west having the high ones. Don't have the bidding but it seems that East opened some amount of Posted Image's. So maybe ducking the Posted Image with no entree in the hand will not happen, and maybe it will. If it does happen then Ben is looking good, if it doesn't happen then there are other possibilities for squeezes too.
